The Studio

Built with intention. Designed to endure.

FRED Interiors is where Parisian clarity meets New York ambition. We design restaurants, residences, workplaces, and the spaces in between — always beginning with how people will feel inside them.

We don't just draw rooms. We read buildings, advocate for vision, navigate codes, source materials, and stay present until the last fixture is placed. From the first site visit to the final reveal, we carry the project so nothing is lost between imagined and built.

Our work lives at the intersection of rigor and instinct: restraint and rebellion, timeless materials and unexpected gestures, French craft and New York momentum. From Maison Dior to a private landmark home, from renowned chefs Alexia Duchêne and Christian Rowan to workplaces and a 200-year-old barn — the scale changes, the attention to detail never does.

At ease with demanding clients and executives, we don't shrink from high-stakes work — we do our best work in it.

Leadership

Frédérique Mortier d'Aumont, Founder and Creative Director of FRED Interiors
I’m Frédérique — founder and creative director of FRED Interiors. French-born, New York-driven, I design spaces with soul, intention, and a quiet edge.

Frédérique Mortier d'Aumont

Founder & Creative Director

My work lives where contrasts meet: elegance with rebellion, structure with softness, timelessness with intensity. I listen first — to how you want to live, what you want to feel, and what will make the space truly yours. From there, my team and I shape a story in materials, craft, and emotion, guiding every step from concept to construction.

I design across Hospitality, Commercial & Amenities, and Residential environments, always with a commitment to honest materials, thoughtful details, and interiors that carry character.

This studio is my way of building beauty with purpose — refined, intentional, and just rebellious enough to stay unforgettable.

The Team

Good design is a conversation. We listen, we draw, we defend the details — and we never lose sight of the feeling the space is meant to hold.

Patricia Diaz

Designer

Architect and designer working side by side through every phase — from concept sketches and permits to construction coordination and final installation. We are supported by a transatlantic network of artisans, fabricators, and specialists across Paris and New York who bring the same care to their craft that we bring to ours.

Fred at work

The work happens in the room.

The best decisions are made standing in the space itself — measuring proportion by hand, testing light at different hours, negotiating every detail where it will be lived.

Before the first line

01

Every project begins with listening: to the building, the brief, and the unspoken feeling the space is meant to hold.

Drawing at full scale

02

We sketch, model, and mark up the room itself until the design feels inevitable.

Staying through construction

03

We stay close through demolition, coordination, and every trade — protecting the idea until it becomes real.
